What ingredients are in JOI?

JOI literally stands for Just One Ingredient, which means all our concentrates are made with minimal, whole, natural ingredients. Our Almond Milk Concentrate is composed of 100% California Almonds; our Cashew Milk Concentrate is composed of 100% Cashews; and our Organic Oat Milk Powder is composed of 100% organic, glyphosate-free oats. Nothing more, nothing less!

Our blended products (coffee creamers) are made with minimal, purpose-driven ingredients. We are also able to do custom blends. Inquire within!

What's the nutritional content of JOI products?

Our plant milk concentrates are made from single ingredients, so you benefit from all the natural protein, fiber and fat that they offer. Refer to each product's info for details.

Is JOI certified organic?

Yes, we offer Certified Organic options for our plant milk concentrates and powders.

How is JOI different to nut or seed butters and flours?

Our products are specifically designed to blend with water to create truly delicious plant milks, that are naturally sweet and unadulterated by additives.

Typical plant butters are roasted and milled differently to create specific flavor and texture profiles. The JOI process is designed to create a smooth, versatile plant concentrate that is as true to its roots as possible, keeping the integrity of its only ingredient (almonds or cashews for our nut SKUs). When used in cooking and baking, the flavor is subtle and not overpowering.

Our JOI process allows our powders to mix seamlessly with water without clumping or inducing starch development.

What is the shelf life of your products?

In general, our product shelf lives (from date of production) are as follows:

  • Almond products: 18 months
  • Cashew products: 12 months
  • Hemp products: 18 months
  • Oat products: 12 months
  • Coffee Creamer products: 12 months

SOURCING

Are your cashews ethically / fair trade sourced?

Our cashews are sourced from suppliers that are SMETA Certified. SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is a social audit that determines the working conditions at a supplier site. An auditor physically attends the site to assess the conditions on the ground. This allows them to monitor the health and safety of the workers and signals zero tolerance of human rights abuses such as child and forced labor.

Where are your almonds sourced from?

All of our almonds are sourced from quality farmers in California. 

Are your organic almonds sourced from bee friendly farms?

Yes. We're proud to announce that our Organic Almond partner is not only a 2nd generation family-owned farm but they are also the first ever recipient of the prestigious Bee Better Certification for sustainable, bee-friendly farming practices. 

Are your oats glyphosate-free?

Yes - we do not accept oats from suppliers who use glyphosate or sell oats with a detectable amount.

SHIPPING

How long does it take to receive my order?

Orders placed on our JOI wholesale website will be delivered within 5-7 working days. For custom/pallet orders, please allow for a 3-4 week lead time. Please contact ali@addjoi.com directly with any questions or concerns about your order.

How much product is on a pallet?

We offer half pallets, full pallets and FTL orders for our wholesale and manufacture partners. For our paste concentrates, a full pallet contains 180 x 8 lb pails (total of 1,440 lb). We also offer pallets of 40 lb drums. For our powder concentrates, a full pallet contains 150 x 10 lb bags (total of 1500 lb).
